ImageManager.library is a library created for my web-browser project. The primary goal of this library (where datatypes failed) was to provide incremental rendering of the decoded image, allow an arbitrary source (such as a network socket) and to allow the user of the decoding system to manipulate the image, before any quantization take place, such as scaling.
I've created the system as a shared library in case someone needs similar features for his or hers project.
The current archive only contain preliminary documentation and everything should generally be considered beta, and subject for change. 4 Examples are included, which demonstrate custom filters, arbitrary image sources and basic usage of the system.
It has not yet been decided whether or not this library should be free for shareware and commercial applications, so please do contact me before using it in such an application.
The library is made in association with Gunther Nikl which is, amongst other, author of several datatypes which can be found at Aminet or (soon?) his homepage.
I've setup a mailinglist (at OneList) for this library.
