BetterString is a stringgadget replacement. It is created for MUI so using it should eliminate the problems with the original BOOPSI stringclass.
The class offers several new features such as filename completion, number arithmetic, clipboard support etc.
The class has a few more methods than String.mui and it can be set to use a dynamic buffer, making MUIA_String_MaxLen redundant.
The source for the preference module (BetterString.mcp) can be found at TUMULT.
BetterString is released as polymorph-ware, which means that if you use it in a program for which you expect your user to pay, give or send you something then you must pay, give or send me exactly the same.
Please note that the previously included Betterstrings patch (by Wojciech Kocjan) is buggy and no longer included. I have unfortunately not been able to get hold of Wojciech.
